If there is an issue with your application during review, Zoning staff will contact you based on the information provided in your application. Once approved, you will receive an email notification with your Accessory Homestay permit attached. The permit is valid for one year. The Accessory Homestay Permit must be renewed before the expiration date shown on your permit certificate.
NOTE: Accessory Homestay providers are required to obtain Business License and a Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) accounts (County Code Chapter 40) from the Commissioner of Revenue. For more information about taxes and/or a business license, contact the Business Tax Division of the Office of the Commissioner of the Revenue. Businesses can be registered online (click ‘Register a Business’) or in-person by completing the Business License Form (For Accessory Homestays, the “section code” part of the business license form is “72.A – Lodging”).
