The Zoning Division provides letters of zoning compliance, which verify the zoning entitlements and encumbrances for a specific property. Zoning compliance letters normally provide information on:
- Current zoning designation
- Any known nonconformities
- Any special exceptions (such as use permits, site plans, and variances)
- Any outstanding zoning violations
- Copies of relevant certificates of occupancy on file
Any specific information beyond that mentioned above should be submitted with the request form. Zoning compliance letters do not provide verification of building or fire code compliance.
Intended to provide due diligence documentation, zoning compliance letter requests should not be used to fulfill Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests or obtain Zoning Administrator Determinations.
Requesting A Zoning Compliance Letter
Requests for zoning compliance letters should be submitted on a Zoning Compliance Letter Request Form.
