The One-Stop Arlington Program is the County’s enterprise-wide initiative to make it easier for all who do business with the County in land development, building and permitting, by streamlining and simplifying processes, and working toward transparency and predictability in policies and procedures. There are two major components to the program. One component is the implementation of an online, streamlined, integrated, efficient development and permitting process for developers, citizens and staff. The Accela Civic Platform application will support the County’s land development, building and permitting activities, involving multiple departments across the County and is anticipated to be implemented in two phases. The second major component is the customer experience portion of the program, that seeks to provide an excellent, one-stop customer service experience for customers, and to address customer interactions with County staff and information, including in-person visits, online transactions and the County website.
