Commercial Energy Code Plan Review: The Commonwealth of Virginia requires new commercial buildings to comply with minimum energy efficiency standards, known as the Virginia Energy Conservation Code. Learn more about these new requirements.
New Zoning Checklists: As of March 1, applicants for residential building permits — including new single family homes, additions and alterations, and residential building permit revisions — must include a signed checklist indicating that all the required materials for the permit are included in the application. 2012 USBC Code: Construction drawings submitted for permits must comply with the 2012 Virginia Uniform Statewide Construction Code (USBC) after July 14, 2015.
